For "T" Day we decided to try Tie-Dye for the first time. The kids really enjoyed themselves with the kit I purchased from JoAnn's for about $6 (using my 40% off coupon). The kit included plastic gloves, rubber bands, and three plastic bottles containing powdered dye for the tie-dye. After we spread out plastic to protect the table, we added water to the bottles and we were ready to go!
I let the kids use whichever colors they wished and do a design of their choosing on some white t-shirts. Fun!
After Fred got home, he didn't want to be excluded from the tie-dye fun so he decided to try his hand at tie-dying a white sweatshirt he's had for a long time and seldom wears because it's so stark white. Ah yes, a little tie-dye to spice it up a bit :-)
