There were so many possibilities for the letter "M" and the only one we got accomplished today was seeing a movie. Our local movie theater is offering free kids movies on Tues/Wed/Thurs mornings throughout the summer...how can you beat FREE?
This weeks movie choices included the choice of Evan Almighty or Veggie Tales-The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything. My assumption was that Evan in particular would want to see Evan Almighty but because we already have that movie and neither of the kids have seen The Veggie Tale movie, we opted to see Veggie Tales.
I think it's so cute that despite the fact that Evan is now 8 1/2 years old, he still has some "little boy" left in him and genuinely wanted to see The Veggie Tale movie. Both kids seemed to enjoy the movie and I'll admit, I used the dark theater as an opportunity to close my eyes for a while (ahhhh).
The weather has been hot and gorgeous the past several days so the kids have really enjoyed having playdates with friends and spending time in the water, whether it be the Slip 'n Slide or in the pool.
Also, the kids have been doing an evening MegaSports-themed Vacation Bible School this week from 6-9pm so by the time they get home in the evening they are wiped out! The added bonus has been kids sleeping til past 8am in the morning!
