Today I realized this was our first year since the kids were born that we did not go to the pumpkin patch as a family. That makes me sad because I really feel strongly about the importance of tradition yet we have been so crazy, busy this month that we haven't found time to go to the pumpkin patch together.
Also, now that both kids are in school full-time, we don't have any preschool field trips to the pumpkin patch to look forward to. Whereas, some previous years we've made 3 or 4 trips in a single season.
Regardless, we have several pumpkins that needed to be carved in preparation for Halloween on Friday. The kids had a great time pulling the seeds out of the pumpkin and getting their hands all slimy!
Evan doesn't really wear glasses but wanted to wear Dad's since he designed his pumpkin to be wearing glasses.
