Evan's cub scout pack had their annual "Dad and Lad Cake Auction" and the theme this year was Adventures in Books.
The boys were to decorate a cake to resemble a favorite character in a book or favorite book title. Lately, Evan has really been into The Boxcar Children series so it was a no-brainer for him to decorate a cake for The Boxcar Children.
First they had to bake the cake...easy enough!
Then it was time to decorate with yummy chocolate frosting!
The caked smelled better than it looked, Evan was pleased with the finished product though.
Approximately 25 boys brought cakes for the auction. Each boy was able to buy tickets and put a ticket into each bag of the cake they'd like to win. Each boy that brought a cake went home with a different cake.
Ironically, Evan's cake was won by his friend Alec and Alec's light saber cake was won by Evan.
