"S" is for Seattle Center and Space Needle!

August 7, 2008

Today for "S" Day we ventured to Seattle (approx 30 minutes from home).
We started by spending some time at the Seattle Center which had been built for the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle.
We enjoyed lunch at the International Fountain and the kids had a great time running from the water so they wouldn't get wet.
Next we went to The Space Needle and took the 82 second elevator ride up to 520 feet above beautiful downtown Seattle.
We really enjoyed our time on the observation deck and taking in 360 degrees of spectatular views!
Inside the Space Needle, the kids really enjoyed a fun, time-elapse computer that allowed you to see what it looks like from the Space Needle during a 24-hour time period.
What a fun day!
