On our way home from our camping trip with the Cub Scouts, we decided to take a slight detour on the way home and went to Paradise at Mt. Rainier. The kids have never been to Paradise and the last time Fred or I had been there was before the main visitors center had been remodeled.
What a beautiful place and with over 60 feet of snowfall this year, it greatly limited the opportunity for any little hikes or any wildflowers to be seen....yet.
Unfortunately the clouds started to roll in which obscured our view of the majestic mountain. This picture of the kids was taken with Mt. Rainier to my back and a beautiful view of other peaks in the distance.
On our way back down from Paradise, we stopped at Narada Falls. What a spectacular view and a charming arched walkway over the falls!
A short hike down allowed us to view the falls from a different angle!
I'm so glad Erica is willing to pose for pictures :-)
