We made our annual visit to South Hill Mall in Puyallup to visit Santa and have the usual Santa photos taken of the kids. Both Evan and Erica really enjoy getting all dressed up so they welcomed the opportunity to get their best clothes on for pictures with Santa.
Erica was especially excited about wearing her new Christmas dress today. You could tell she felt pretty as a princess as she walked in her beautiful new dress and got to wear her sparkly new shoes. Evan looked as dapper as ever in his "tuxedo" which is what he calls his double-breasted jacket I had found for him last year at the thrift store.
We invited my Mom to join us and being the wonderful Grammy that she is, she jumped at the opportunity to meet us at the mall.
Evan informed us that he thinks he's too old for Santa pictures and I promptly informed him that this is a tradition and he will continue to have his picture taken with Santa until he's old enough to move out :-)
With all the latest technology, we were able to view the pictures a few minutes after they were taken. The kids loved being able to click on the pictures and see themselves!
Following pictures, we decided to do a "backwards dinner" and stopped to have a special treat before having dinner - what kid wouldn't want to do that?
It was a really fun evening, with memories we will cherish for years...plus I can check off another item off our Christmas "to do" list for 2008.
