School was originally scheduled to begin on August 31st. Due to a labor dispute, the teachers in our school district are still on the picket lines so we've had to find ways to keep ourselves busy for the past two weeks. We've been working on math, making frequent trips to the library plus the kids have had fun playing with neighbor friends who are also waiting for school to start. We even resorted to pulling out the Nifty Knitter yesterday and both kids had fun starting knit hats.
Soccer season is now officially in full-swing. Between both kids we are at soccer practices four nights during the week, not to mention the soccer games that take place on Saturdays. Add on top of that cub scouts and brownies and we keep ourselves quite busy! We are loving our busy life!
