Pacific Science Center Camp-In

May 2, 2010

For the second year, Erica and her brownie troop got to do the Pacific Science Center Camp-In in downtown Seattle. Their troop earned enough money from selling Girl Scout Cookies earlier in the year so the whole troop had their expenses paid to do the Camp-In again this year.

We get to go into the Pacific Science Center late on Saturday afternoon and then we have run of the entire facility late into the evening.

One of Erica's favorite highlights was the Mars exhibit and the experience of what it would feel like to walk on Mars.

All harnessed up.

The girls and their moms "get to" sleep on the floor of the Science Center, lights out at 11:30pm, and then it's lights on at 6:30am. After a light breakfast, we are rushed over to the Imax theater and then the Lasarium light...all before 8am!
Ready for the laser show in 3-D!

Let's just clarify, it's NOT a night of quality sleep ;-) but the girls, and the Moms who came along to chaperone, had such a great time!

You are a brave mom. (the sleeping on the floor part.) I remember when Christy went . . she came home with a pet hermit crab named John, after her favorite 4th grade teacher.

Sue, How do I become a follower of your blog, so it is on my google reader? Didn't see the link.
