Christmas Eve

December 24, 2009
Erica had been asked to be an angel in the Christmas Eve program at our church. It took her a while to think about it but eventually she was willing to do it. She looked so precious in her little angel costume!

She was one of ten angels...

Also, our family had volunteered to be part of a group to play handbells before both Christmas Eve services. Lucky thing we didn't have to worry about reading music, the books we used were Christmas carols with the word circled for when the bell you are holding has to be rung. Both of the kids did great with their handbells too!

Following Christmas Eve services, we headed back home for a late dinner and time to relax before the big day!

The kids are both at an age where they can read Christmas stories to each other. So cute! Evan chose 'Twas the Night before Christmas" and Erica chose a Mary Engelbreit story.

As is tradition, both kids got to open one present tonight. Surprise! A pair of pajama bottoms! Just like every year!

And the kids were feeling pretty goofy too!

Both Evan and Erica worked together to get cookies out for Santa and carrots for the reindeer! They even put together some trail mix for Santa to take with him!

Good thinking!
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
