As our grand finale for our ZYX of Summer, we went on an adventure for the week...to Ocean Shores! (aka vacation!)
Fred had the week off for vacation (yeah!) and due to the heat wave we've been experiencing here in the Seattle area, we decided to head west to the coolness of the Pacific Ocean rather than go to more heat in Eastern WA!
What a wonderful break from temps in the 90's!

Our unit had a fully stocked kitchen so we were able to bring our own food and "eat in" every meal. Saved big $$$'s!

Erica was super excited to see horses on the beach. We didn't pay to ride any but she was content to have her picture taken near one :-)

Surprisingly, the wind was really calm. Some kites were easier to fly than others!
Evan & Erica's kites went up with little effort....
But Fred's deluxe tri-plane kite was alot more difficult to get to fly!
After multiple attempts on several days, it finally flew!
We all had such a great time!
I wish my camera was fast enough to keep up with these two!
Oh, we even had some time to do a little window shopping and try on goofy stuff!
What an adventure we had!

What a great vacation! Nothing like the sand and kite flying at the beach.
