After nearly 2 years of mastering the art of riding a scooter, Erica was finally ready to start practicing riding a bike. At first, Erica struggled with how to maintain her balance while sitting on a bike seat versus standing on a scooter.
Fred had the great idea of letting Erica practice coasting down a slight hill on Evan's old (smaller) bike with her legs out to the sides for balance. After she gained her confidence with balance while being seated, she was ready to start putting her feet on the petals.
Then Erica said the magic words, "Dad, can you please take the training wheels off my bike?" Fred didn't question her, he got right to business getting those little puppies off the bike.
We went to a nearby school with a large paved area and off she went! Wahooooooo!
