The kids and I met my sister Lisa and her three kids in Seattle to ride the free South Lake Union Street Car into downtown. The streetcar is a new addition in the downtown area and is currently free to ride during the month of December. What better time to take advantage of some fun in downtown Seattle!

Our first destination was the Seattle Sheraton to view the gingerbread house exhibit. The various chefs at the hotel team with different architectural firms in the city to design and create these entirely edible creations. The chef we spoke to said his team spent over 100 hours on their gingerbread house.

We asked a hotel employee if she could recommend a nearby place for all of us to sit and eat our sack lunches, she pointed to the large round table in the lobby (!) of the hotel and said it would fine for us to seat and eat there....so we did! The table had several ottoman's around it and some large white "artwork" in the middle.
Following our adventure at The Sheraton, we walked to the nearby Four Seasons Olympic/Fairmont Hotel to go to The Teddy Bear Suite
Afterwards we headed over to the Carousel in Westlake Park.
The kids had a fun day with their cousins!
