The kids have become big fans of Hannah Montana (if you haven't seen The Disney Channel then you may be clueless....).
We found out several months ago that she was coming to Seattle so we decided to surprise the kids as an early Christmas gift by buying three tickets to the concert. (note: three tickets, not four....Fred didn't want to listen to high-pitched screaming all night so he was agreeable to buying tickets if I was willing to take the kids)
Up until the night of the concert, the kids were clueless! I picked up the kids after school and we drove downtown to have dinner with Dad. We were so blessed to find two parking spots on the street directly across from Key Arena versus having to pay $20 per vehicle to park in a lot on the other side of the sidewalk!
At this point, the kids still had no idea about the concert. Evan even commented when he got out of the car that he could hear some Hannah Montana music but still didn't make the connection about the concert.
We went to dinner at a nearby mexican restaurant and it was there that we informed the kids about the concert tickets.
