Weekend at Guemes Island

April 20-22, 2007

We made our third annual trip to our friends' cabin in the San Juan Islands. They have a waterfront cabin on Guemes (pronounced Gwee-mess) Island and it's been in their family since the 1960's. We feel honored to have the opportunity to rent it one weekend a year and so far we've been very fortunate to have good weather during our April weekends we go up there.

The kids love the opportunity to play on the logs and in the sand, plus the bunkbeds in the cabin are a big highlight as well!

Evan took this picture :-)

Erica standing in front of the driftwood fort
that had been built prior to our arrival.

Getting the campfire ready for smores!

"We're getting too hot from the campfire!"

Evan decided the driftwood fort needed a door.
Captain Can Do to the rescue!
